Why is it called a "Fedora hat"?

My very first collaboration with Kai Sotto!

After days of hunting for the right Fedora hat (which also had to be affordable, since I'm not a person who wears hats regularly), I finally ran into one at Therapy in the Mission!

This hat was $45 and fits perfectly! The hat is not too big and not too small. It is just right for me! Today I matched this hat with dark lipstick ("Vamp") from Anastasia BH and a "photo printed" top from Scotch & Soda!

This top from Scotch & Soda is unique. The photo print is mature looking due to the gold and black, however there is some fun incorporated into this top...Check out the sleeves! The 2 lines on the sleeves gives it a sporty feel.

One more note on this #OOTD. The heels! I bought these heels in Tokyo from my favourite store "Esperanza". They sell affordable & trendy heels and are a very popular chain so you'll find them in most major stations in Tokyo & Yokohama. These heels in particular are *very* comfortable because of the platform in the front.

Thank you @KaiSotto for this wonderful opportunity! Her photos are special because she incorporates the location and interesting perspectives into the shot!

BTW a question for you:
Do you know why these felt hats are called "Fedora"?

Answer:
"The word fedora comes from the title of an 1882 play by dramatist Victorien Sardou, Fédora being written for Sarah Bernhardt. Bernhardt played Princess Fédora, the heroine of the play. During the play, Bernhardt – a notorious cross-dresser – wore a center-creased, soft brimmed hat." More here.
