The basic components of Japanese food are "SA-SHI-SU-SE-SO":
さ[SA]: Sa-tou (sugar)
し[SHI]: Shio (salt)
す[SU]: Su (Vinegar)
せ[SE]: Soysauce
そ[SO]: Miso
